it's very pleasantly to see that the scope of ACM competition becomes wider and wider from year to year. So, this year totally 27 teams from all major Far Eastern cities such as Blagoveschensk, Komsomolsk-na-Amure, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk, and of course Vladivostok took part in the contest. As usual, the main goal of local ACM quarter- and semi- finals was to define the best teams to represent Russian Far East at the semi-final winter championships. On the opening ceremony Rhonda’s representative made a brief speech inspiring participants for victory in this year competitions and wishing them future success in their professional field of software development. As always Rhonda donated financial support with the main idea in mind of encouraging talented young people. Besides financial support Rhonda provided organizational assistance - some of Rhonda's engineers and managers participated in the contest as the trainers, supervisors and judges. Opening ceremony. Teams at work. Official website of the championship is available on http://imcs.dvgu.ru/acm/about.html (in Russian). |
